Vivo is a Chinese Android smartphone manufacturer founded in 2009 and owned by BBK Electronics, which also owns the popular brand Oppo. Since 2014, Vivo has expanded its market presence beyond China and now operates in over 100 countries. As of recent reports, Vivo is the 5th largest smartphone vendor globally, with 100.7 million shipments and a notable 36% growth rate from the previous year. This places Vivo just behind industry giants Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and Oppo, surpassing even Xiaomi, which holds the 6th position with 96 million shipments.
